Whenever we get the chance we will stay with our favourite hotel brand The Four Seasons. We've had a long standing relationship with the hotel around the world and have enjoyed it to its utmost. There's also a special part of us that relishes in the fact that we're supporting a homegrown hotelier Isadore Sharp. Now in his early 80s, he's built a lasting company based on the luxury, quality and service. It's the littlest things that make all of the difference in the world. Two easy examples that we'll share from our stay: first, we went for a run in the wee hours of the morning, upon our return, before even entering the hotel, the doorman had a cold bottle of water and towel waiting for us. I was so pleased! What an easy gesture to make the day that much better.
Secondly, and semi-embarassing, we're using the boarding pass from the flight here as our bookmark in the book we're currently reading. Last night, I found my boarding pass replaced by the hotel staff attending to our room with a (can you believe it?) real bookmark!
They always go above and beyond and we are always overjoyed at the amount of attention paid to every single detail.
If you've never read Isadore's book, I highly recommend it - we are inspired to adopt his business philosophy into the Black Caviar lifestyle. Who knows, there may just be a partnership in the near future.
