What is Microcurrent?

Microcurrent technology is one of the hottest innovations in the anti-aging industry and is used in top spas and medical offices for facial toning, tightening, and firming of aging skin. It’s a safe and effective technology for clients who wish to attain and maintain a healthier, younger looking appearance. The results can be so dramatic that microcurrent treatments are often referred to as “non-surgical face lifts.”

How Does Microcurrent Work? With the use of microcurrent technology, NuFACE Facial Toning Devices deliver a low-level current for instant and cumulative results. Microcurrent is a low-level current that typically operates in the range of 0-400 microamps. Microcurrent facial toning devices send soft, gentle waves through the skin in an effort to stimulate ATP production which drives production of collagen and elastin. In essence, microcurrent facial toning devices drive cellular energy production which is needed to produce key structural proteins (collagen and elastin) throughout the skin.

Our clinical study demonstrates a significant improvement in facial contour and skin tone after 30 days of use.

Output – 1/1,000,000th of an Ampere Sensation – Soothing, very mild current (Works sub-sensory – beneath sensory nerves) Benefits – Increase facial contour, skin tone and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. View our Engage Clinical Study.

Bell’s Palsy Breakthrough: The Origin of Microcurrent Treatments Microcurrent was first used to treat patients experiencing a form of nerve-paralysis called Bell’s Palsy. The low-level current retrained their atrophied facial muscles, suggesting a new anti-aging application for the aesthetic industry
