Mmmmmmm. A treat for lying around a roaring fire (preferably in cashmere joggers and an LNA tee), making s’mores and dishing with the girls. You might have to make more than one batch.
16 ounces apple cider
8 ounces rye whiskey
4 ounces Campari
4 ounces sweet vermouth
Fresh cranberries, cinnamon to garnish (optional)
Bring apple cider to a simmer in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add rye, Campari, and vermouth, stirring until just warm (too long and the alcohol will evaporate). Divide between two glass mugs, garnish with fresh cranberries and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve immediately.
